Sure, your friends and family are great, but sometimes too much of a good thing is just too much! When you need some extra space for visiting friends or family who are traveling with their pups, a pet-friendly hotel is the perfect solution.
There are many hotels in NYC that allow pets, but if your friends and family are just as crazy about their sweet pups as you are about yours, they may want to treat Fido to a special vacation along with them! Here are a few hotels in and around Harlem who welcome furry companions in a truly unique way.
Aloft Harlem — Within walking distance of the Historic Apollo Theatre, this stylish New York hotel features modern decor and excellent amenities like a bar and a gym. The hotel welcomes dogs up to 40 pounds, and the free arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of treats and toys.
The Benjamin — If your visitors are looking for an over-the-top treat for their pet, tell them to check out The Benjamin. The hotel’s Dream Dogs program provides a plush doggie bathrobe, a doggie DVD (to keep dogs from getting bored when alone in the room), and a dog room service menu. The doggie bed menu offers different sizes of specially-designed beds to make sure pets get a good night’s sleep. The Benjamin is located in Midtown East, but it’s worth the extra distance!
Loews Regency — With their Loews Loves Pets program, dogs are treated to a complimentary welcome basket with a name tag, pet bowl, and treats, and dog beds are offered as well. Loews provides dog-walking and pet-sitting in-house — dogs left in the room will be walked for $20, and the front desk will watch a pet for $10 an hour, which gives visitors the ability to go out to restaurants, museums, etc. with you, knowing that their sweet one is being taken care of.
